Meet the Team

  • Anne Hamilton, Esq. - Founder & Executive Director

    Anne Hamilton is the founder and executive director of The Survivorship Collective, the first non-profit connecting the cancer community to safe, legal, psychedelic-assisted therapies. After surviving advanced-stage cancer as a young adult, she became an advocate for better mental and spiritual care for cancer patients, survivors, and their loved ones. Hamilton is a former litigator, 9th Circuit Clerk, and a current member of the Psychedelic Bar Association. She has worked in government, with nonprofits, and in higher education as a professor at USC’s School of Cinematic Arts. She is a 2025 Mira Fellow, a certified mediator, holds a J.D. from Yale Law School, a Master’s Degree in Philosophy from Stanford University, and is a graduate of Notre Dame and the American Film Institute. She lives in Los Angeles.

  • Claudia Cuentas, MA, LMFT

    Claudia Cuentas (she/her) is a Peruvian marriage and family therapist, an independent researcher and an educator, specializing in the treatment of healing trauma, trauma recovery, cultural identity and decolonization of healing. She has training in MDMA Assisted Psychotherapy from MAPS and Ketamine assisted Psychotherapy from Polaris Institute. She holds an MA in Drama Therapy and Expressive Arts Therapy; has completed her 3 years training of Somatic Experiencing, and holds a Trauma Informed Care frame of work.  She also has extensive studies for the last 15 years in Indigenous healing, from her native Aymara and Quechua lineages of South America, and has been given permission by her elders to teach and share her studies for health and wellness.

  • Arlene Tjoarman - Director of Operations

    Arlene Tjoarman’s experience with breast cancer inspired her to become a passionate advocate for community support, mental health, and patient autonomy. Her professional background spans market research, strategy consulting, nonprofit leadership, and event planning, where she developed expertise in logistics, partnerships, and project management. Arlene holds a BA in Classical Civilization from UCLA and an MBA from the University of Michigan. 

  • Ziva Doshi, LCSW, OSW-C Psychotherapy and Psycho-Oncology - Board Member

    Ziva Doshi is a licensed psychotherapist in private practice based in Los Angeles, CA. She has over a decade of clinical experience in medical settings in New York and Los Angeles. Ziva is board certified in psycho-oncology, trained in oncology-focused CBT and psychodynamic therapy, and specializes in health psychology, women's health, and psychological recovery and growth post cancer diagnosis. In addition to her clinical practice, Ziva is also an affiliate member at the Los Angeles Institute and Society for Psychoanalytic Studies, a preferred provider and community partner with LA's chapter of Cancer Support Community, and serves as a subject matter expert for the California Board of Behavioral Sciences.

  • Amy Slonaker, JD, PhD - Board Member

    Amy Slonaker earned her PhD in Mythological Studies with an emphasis in Depth Psychology at at Pacifica Graduate Institute in Santa Barbara, California. After receiving her undergraduate degree as a double major in Religious Studies and Political Science at the University of California at Santa Barbara, she attended law school at Seattle University School of Law and practiced law in the San Francisco Bay Area and New York City for 20+ years in the areas of criminal defense and securities litigation. She has been living with metastatic breast-to-bone cancer since 2017.

  • Maria Angeles McClure - Founding Board Member

    Angeles McClure grew up in a small town in Mexico, surrounded by a close-knit family of six. Nature has always been her solace, thanks to her father and grandfather who shared their wisdom about native plants and medicines. She is passionate about mental health, as well as areas where resilience and healing meet community and nature. Angeles’s experience is wide-ranging, from managing a yoga studio to education in community gardens to organizing events for nonprofits. She has earned a bachelor’s degree from Universidad de Monterrey.

  • Dr. Manish Agrawal - Advisory Board

    Dr. Manish Agrawal’s extensive background and experience spans medicine, engineering, philosophy, ethics, and research. He currently serves as Founder & CEO of Sunstone Therapies, a leader in the delivery of psychedelic-assisted therapy in the medical setting and the development and execution of clinical trials for those affected by complex mental health challenges. Manish previously held the position of Co-Director of Clinical Research at Maryland Oncology Hematology, where he dedicated 15 years to the care of cancer patients. He completed a fellowship at the National Cancer Institute, National Institutes of Health, and his residency at Georgetown University Medical Center.

  • Erika Gagnon - Advisory Board

    Erika Gagnon is a ceremonial leader, wisdom carrier, and healer who helps others heal themselves. She has walked a medicine path and Red Road for 30 years, working with Indigenous elders from North and South America and their ceremonies, altars, and medicinal plants. She is honored to receive her Indigenous elders’ blessings to continue their traditions through healing ceremonies and personal healing sessions.

  • Bronwen Jones - Advisory Board

    Bronwen has served as the Cedars-Sinai Cancer Center's chaplain since 2014. During this time, she has developed her deep interest in the existential and spiritual concerns of people from all walks of life whose beliefs and values come from a wide spectrum of religious and nonreligious perspectives. Through her humanistic approach to spiritual care, Bronwen continues to seek insight into the ways a person can tap into their spiritual resources as they face challenges in life.

    Bronwen received her master's degree in theology from Loyola Marymount University.

  • Dr. Arash Asher, M.D. - Advisory Board

    Arash Asher is the Director of Cancer Survivorship & Rehabilitation at the Samuel Oschin Comprehensive Cancer Institute at Cedars-Sinai. His clinical and research interests focus on the rehabilitation of cancer patients to help restore their maximal functional capacity and quality of life. Dr. Asher's expertise is in the non-pharmacologic management of pain, cancer-related fatigue, cognitive dysfunction, neuropathy, exercise prescription for cancer patients, and the management of other musculoskeletal problems. Dr. Asher completed a physical medicine and rehabilitation residency at UCLA and a cancer rehabilitation fellowship at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, Texas. He is board-certified by the American Board of Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation and Hospice and Palliative Medicine.
